Proofreading
If your manuscript has already been edited by a professional editor, and all you need is final cleanup with an eagle eye, then this service is for you.
Copy Edit
A copy edit is the first round of editing for a completed manuscript. It corrects errors in punctuation, usage, grammar, and spelling. A copy editor usually has leeway to edit or even rewrite some sentences to make them clearer.
Developmental Edit
A developmental edit is usually recommended (and sometimes required) for first-time authors. It looks at the "big picture" of the story: Pacing, Coherency, Characterization, Dialogue, Story Flow, Story Question, and much, much more.
Coaching, Mentoring, and First-Look Feedback
This covers a wide range of topics and interactions. It may contain elements of proofreading, copy editing, and developmental editing, as well as teaching and or answering general questions. We can pre-judge contest entries and provide feedback. Services are likely to be a-la-carte with hour-based pricing. Each situation is unique.
